Lena had offered no counterargument, and Halaevia decided that enough had been said on the matter of the child. If she had judged rightly, then her words would stay with Torin's wife, long enough to have some impact. Whether it would be enough wasn't for her to say. Leaving a child to be raised by others had a cost that went beyond simply the emotional.
'Yes, I will talk to Torin,' she replied simply, still processing what Lena had said, teasing out the implications. She hadn't had any intention of blessing him, but then until Lena had informed her otherwise, she had assumed that she would be going with him. Parting words of any sort would have been unnecessary. Now that Lena had said it, though, Halaevia began to wonder if it might not be an idea worth considering. The wording would need to be careful; not to offer Torin sanction beyond what was necessary, but enough that it remained meaningful.
'That is a thoughtful idea,' she told Lena with a smile. 'I am sure he will be glad of R'hllor's blessing when he leaves for the battlefield. You are right, I ought to.'
