Silas had arrived later than most of the lords, and wasn’t about making a big fuss. It was a feast for the most part so his entrance went largely unnoticed. He adorned his family cloak letting it fall on his back like a cape. Underneath was a leather jerkin cut just past his shoulders, it showed his long sleeved cotton shirt. His cotton pants a deep navy color, and his boots were made strong. Untying his cloak and draping it over his arm on his way to a seat, it was clear he was unarmed.
Before he sat his arm reached out to a servant. “Mulled wine, dornish if you have it.” Instead of directly sitting down he pushed away the empty plate and placed down his cloak. It had been some time since he’d last seen his cousins. Stannis looked as he was growing old fast and Adelaide looked as beautiful as always. Since his father’s death, it came to him as a new lord to declare his allegiance.
It came down to Stannis or Joffrey and it seemed like a simple decision. Despite Silas not having a lot of love for his cousins, he’d never truly met Robert’s children. He questioned whether or not Robert knew his own children well before he died. Content with his thoughts, he was willing to wait for a chance to speak.
