Dragonestone... A place as dark and gloomy as Stannis Baratheon himself but in recent times the fire that burns has brightened the place, the darkness hides evil but the light of R'hllor destroys it. The light was left on Dragonstone that day where Stannis was dealt a crushing defeat, a defeat that came in the form of a different light. The light of wildfire. Dark green in colour it consumes all those in its way, even the water was powerless to stop it. If Stannis had brought the light of R'hllor with him that day, he could well be sitting at his coronation rather than in this harsh looking room, the ancient seat of the Targaryens at the top of the Stone Drum. The chamber of the painted table was good for planning, but that was it. It was a seat where Aegon planned his conquest.
There was one thing that Aegon had that Stannis didn't.. Dragons. All Stannis had was dragonglass and Dragonglass was about as useful as a cripple fighting a trial by combat against Ser Gregor Clegane. Stannis' army was small, the Tyrells had allied with the Lannister's and the crown, he would need more support but from where? He slammed a dirk into the table where Kings Landing was on the map. His jaw was clenched tight and his fist clenched even tighter. He needs support but from where? Robb Stark wanted half his kingdom in return for an alliance, Dorne was ruled by a cripple who would rather hide than call his banners. The Vale was ruled by an insane woman and a sickly child, the Greyjoys had declared themselves kings of the Iron Islands and the Riverlands had sworn to Robb Stark.
Hope was all but lost, the Lannister, Torin, had been captured and was currently with Stannis' sister Halaevia. Torin had been a squire for Stannis some years ago but now he was his enemy, like Renly was, if he did not submit he would face the consequences. He was on his way to Stannis but they were taking their time and Stannis grows ever restless.
"I will be king." He said to himself. "I will!"
