History:
Lena was born the eldest daughter to Jon Arryn and the only daughter born to Jeyne Royce who died in childbed.
Lena was the pride and joy of her father and was raised at his side as he ruled the Vale.
From her earliest memories Lena remembers's being in her father's saddle as he conducted the business of the Vale or at his side on her own pony beside him. Even after Jon Arryn married his cousin Rowena Arryn he still reared Lena as if she was his only concern.
He taught her to cary a sword and defend her self as well as the ways of a Lord of the Vale as she would one day be it's protector along side a future husband.
This was the way Lena spent most of her childhood until her thirteenth year when during Robert's rebellion Jon married Lysa Tully a much younger woman only six years Lena's senior.
When Jon first brought Lysa to the Vale Lena regarded her father's new wife to be a charity case and treated the soiled daughter of house Tully as such.
It was reported that Lysa and Lena did not see eye to eye regarding Jon Arryn as Lena worshiped the very ground her father walked on and Lysa openly spoke of how old and disgusting Jon was as a husband.
Lena never felt threatened by Lysa as her father's wife as Lysa had two miscarriages before the end of the rebellion.
After the rebellion Robert Baratheon made Jon his hand in Kingslanding and so Jon moved his squabbling family with him leaving the Vale in his brother's keeping for a short time.
In Kingslanding Lena watched as Lysa miscarried three more children and even grew to pity the woman who she thought would never give her father any other children.
To ease both Lena and Lysa Jon sent his daughter back to govern the Vale.
Lena took this as an honor bound duty to protect the Vale and lead it in her father's absence.
A few years later Lena stood as the Lord Protectorate of the Vale even though her position as a woman should have seen her married. She did not even attempt to return to Kingslanding until word reached her of a child born between Jon Arryn and Lysa Tully- a son christened Robert Arryn.
Lena was crushed by the news of her father's heir and could not believe that she had been replaced.
Irrationally feeling both angry and betrayed the normally calm and passive Lena refused meals and fell into fits of anger throwing furniture and bed clothes about her room even injuring sparring partners with out thinking. This news reached her father and Jon barred his eldest from returning to Kingslanding for the fear of what she may do in a flight of anger to her younger brother.
For five years Lena smoldered in the Eyrie loathing both Lysa Tully and her young child Robert until the day came when Lysa appeared unannounced at the Bloody Gates claiming Robert as Lord of the Vale and Warden of the East upon the death of Jon Arryn.
The two arrived at the Eyrie greeted by the host of Lena's knights and loyal council members to hear the news of Jon Arryn's death and the hands of the Lannisters.
While most of the Eyrie believed her a small host, among them Lena, found fault in her Logic.
But when questioned Lysa fell into emotional displays of sobbing and fits of shouting rage.
Lena watched as Lysa in essence spread her panic about the Vale causing men to prepare for a rise to arms against any traveler from the south and women to cloister their children warning them of a war soon to brew at the Bloody Gates.
Though no army from the South came, instead Catelyn Tully arrived with Tyrion Lannister as her prisoner.
Upon the trial of Tyrion Lena began to put her doubt in Lysa's story to action gathering all those who believe the child Lord incapable of leading the Vale to her cause.
Though her popularity as the true leader of the Vale had grown Lena still lacked the military strength to act and proclaim her self the rightful heir to the title thus she began to look for an alliance between her self and a strong army to win her cause and have Lysa account for her believed crimes against Jon Arryn. Lena found this in Torin Lannister heir to Casterly Rock.
Lena and Torin had a rocky start to their relationship, from their first meeting when he forced her to give up her maiden hood to him in assurance that she would not look else where for a better deal, to Lena throwing her self from a horse to abort their unborn child. Yet still they both got what they wanted, she her home and the title of Great Lord of the Vale and Torin a wife to warm his bed and some time soon give him sons.
Knowing there was no real way out of their marriage the two slowly warmed up to one another and while most people still thought the two were having marital strife but after some time apart as the saying goes they grew fonder to one another. The two lived happily in Kingslanding for a short time until rumor had it that Stannis was preparing to attack in the mean time word reached Lena that her cousin Luthor Arryn had fallen Ill.
Lena not wanting the Vale to be apart of this attack and she left for the Vale to take care of her cousin shortly before Stannis was sighted off shore despite her husband's urgency for the armies of the Vale to help in the attack. This drove a wedge between the couple that had only so recently began to know each others company as a happy occasion.
On the road back to the Vale word reached Lena that her husband had fallen a boat attack Dragon Stone and that his body had not been recovered. Distraught Lena went into mourning, and by the time she reached it became apparent to Lena that her new found happiness with Torin had sired a child with in her womb. In fear that her child would be taken from her to be raised away from her in Casterly Rock Lena implored her cousin to help her spread the rumor that she was carrying his Bastard child.
Currently the pregnant Lena Arryn keeps the lie perpetuated as she stays safely neutral behind the Bloody Gate.

Entering at the side of the knight, standing almost his equal height was a woman who stood square like a confidant general, her chin lifted and her eyes focused on the ben before her.
She was the lady of Vale, ever present at her brother's side, she was the sword and he shield as it was told through out the Vale.
Lena Arryn was robed in a long dress that drug the floor, it told of the riches of the residents of the Eyrie. Her dress fell from her shoulders in gold lining, with sapphires linked by gold and pearls adorning her throat and breast. Rich burgundy red lining of her cape could be seen amongst the dark navy and black layers of her dress.
Her dark hair was worn down in soft loose curls, tonight she wore no sword, but the gaze in her blue eyes could cleave any man in two.
"Ser Lannister." She bowed her head only fractionally before entering the room.
She walked to her brother's side and placed her hand on his forearm. "Emre, my lord." She bowed her head only slightly deeper to him before turning again to face the tall man before them.
"I am told Ser Lannister that we are to wed... what do you have to say of this?"
