Calm Before the Storm (Melis/Lucifer)

"I favor all things precious in life, from gold to jewels and even the most supple of slaves." Melis informed her eyes dancing over L'Inarra once more. If only she'd found this graceful creature before Lucifer, she'd make such a daring addition to the collection of slaves she already had. "You your self seem to favor such finery as well." The dark sinned woman motioned to the strand around L'inarra's throat. "It is not often I meet a woman whose style rivals my own."
It was a lie, Lucifer didn't make enough money in a year to buy his wife a wardobe matching Melis' but it was always good to shower women in compliments after all it made them feel like they were wanted.

After watching L'inarra take another grape Melis rose from her seat. "Come with me dear, We shall get out of this baking sun at once and you shall help me with my selection for this evening." Melis hadn't seen Lucifer about so she knew he wouldn't have time for pretty little wife until after the evening meals. If they were lucky Melis wouldn't have use for the darling little ruby haired vixen then too.

[L'inarra Whitecrest]

A small blush crept unto L'inarra's pale skin as she glanced her heavy lidded eyes over to the slender woman beside her. Sipping the last of her wine L'inarra set her hands in her lap, turned towards Melis. "You are very kind." she said in her soft voice as her hand went to her throat, fingering the jewels about it. Truth be told, she couldn't quite remember where she had procured the necklace, assuming it was a gift or some such.

Getting up at Melis's words, L'inarra never questioned why she was following this womans orders. Part of her assumed it was because she was ordering her husband. L'inarra didn't know of the soldiers code or war etiquette, so she merely did what was asked of those higher than herself. "What are the highest trends from your home area, my lady?" L'inarra asked, hoping to make some conversation. A bad habit of sorts for the bright red head, L'inarra was apt to jump on the first high tail end and ride it along.
