Recent History:
No one is certain of the date when the House Caywood was founded, though, it is believed that the House was formed in the ages of the First Men. Dragonglass artifacts have been found across the small island, bearing the house's namesake, located off the southern coast of Cape Kraken and north of the Blacktyde Islands. Though Caywood Isle is the smallest island in Ironman's Bay, the landmass is treacherous with jagged sea-cliffs and towering redwoods covering the island. The strategic landscape, paired with an abundance of iron and wood have provided House Caywood and its vessels with safety for many years.
Since its inception, House Caywood has always been loyal to the Lord of the Iron Islands and his conquests. Though, many years after Balon's Rebellion against the Crowned Stag and Eddard Stark, the late Lord of Winterfell, House Caywood began been making it's name in the merchant trade acquiring wealth through from the many merchants of the free cities.
With the Late Lord Ambrose Caywood III passing at the onset of the "War of Five Kings," the twin heirs to Caywood Isle, Lords Kahlil and Danwell Caywood, assume lordship in the midst of a torn Westeros. The war has taken its toll on the merchant trade, and grumblings have been heard throughout the towns and woods. A once prosperous market is starting to feel the pangs of war, and the courts at Caywood Hall are filled everyday with merchants begging for some reprieve.
Behind closed doors, the Twin Lords of Caywood send jackdaws to the High Lords of Westeros seeking help. The Ironborn have sailed North and South under new the newly proclaimed King of the North and the Iron Islands, heeding not the pleas of the small Caywood Court. With the small-folk growing more anxious, the Twin Lords of Caywood find themselves quickly immersed in A Game of Thrones.
