'Presenting Lord Torin Lannister, Warden of the East'
Torin had been back in King's Landing for three days, he had slept well, eaten his fill, drunk wine. Now it was time for him to get down to business. He had made plans that he would stand before the Iron Throne for his return to be formally recognized but also for a matter he wished to petition.
Although he was adorned in armour as he entered the Throne Room, it was not his usual plate armour. That was too heavy to be casually worn. Instead he opted for a breastplate with enameled scales. The entire thing was a fantastic red with gold and orange clasps and details upon the chest. A lion enveloped in a ring of fire. A great cloak hung from his shoulders. It was a red that matched his armour. Though a cloak had a hood as part of it. He was worn down.
A hundred tongues were wagging as he moved in. The Red Keep was always full of courtiers and loved nothing more than a good gossip and his return had brought with him a woman that favoured red. Was Torin wearing the Lannister colour? or something different?
The largest Lion of Lannister crossed the long hall of the Throne room until he was at the appropriate spot to address King Joffrey. "Your Grace, I would offer you my sword to deal with the King-in-the-North, but it has left my hand." his voice boomed across the hall with renewed confidence. "Ser Illyn Payne, the Stark sword. If you would." his gaze turned to the mute headsman. There would be something appropriate about taking Robb's head with his father's sword. They'd be learning soon enough the mistake of entering the Westerlands.
The former Captain of the Guards to Tywin descended the steps and unstrapped the greatsword he wore over his back before offering it to the Warden of the East. It was good to have a proper weapon at hand again.
"But there is another matter I would raise." indeed there was. When one discovered a falsehood, it was required that they set it right.
