Recent History:
Not much is know of House Creyon, as around three hundred years ago a great fire destroyed the library and with that most records from before that time. It is known however that the family had been the lords and ladies of Silvershield for a number of generations. The town, called Silvershield, is located just inside the Westerlands, at the the area where the Westerlands, the Reach and the Riverlands meet. It's also located near a branch of the Blackwater Rush. During Aegon's conquest, House Creyon followed Loren Lannister, and during the battle that was later known as the field of fire, house Creyon lost a lot of men. Afterwards, they, as well as all other lords bended the knee to Aegon, and were allowed to keep their title.
For the next 300 years, the house was stable, and tightened it's grip on Silvershield, making it their home. At one point, 250 years ago, the lord of Silvershield, lord Aaron, sired twenty six children, only one of which was legitimate. Somewhere in those 300 years, Around two hundred years ago, the Lannisters and the Creyons had formed a bond Exchanging goods to one another on a regular basis. A rather large trade, in which the Lannisters were sending a heavy weight of gold for a rather large flock of livestock, the Lannisters upheld their end of the bargain but the Creyon's did not. Furious as having been shortened on their bargain the Lannisters repaid discourtesy with an army that marched upon the Creyon's. Although they fought valiantly, they were crushed allowed only to keep their name if they bent to the Lannisters will, returned the gold, the livestock, and if lord Alaric took to the black. They agreed.
About a hundred and fifty years ago, the family possessed a valyrian steel sword, named 'Silver', but they lost it after one of the lord's bastard sons took it and ran off with it. The family tried to recover it for 2 generations but finally gave up. Since then, nobody has ever even bothered to try and look for it.
They supported, and supplied troops to the Lannisters in the end of the war when they decided to joint Robert during Robert's Rebellion. They lost a lot of men and even the lord at that time, Alistair's father, received some severe wounds. They were awarded with some dragons and a small commendation, but didn't really gain anything else out of it.
About ten years ago, Faramir's father, lord Edwynn's brother, tried to steal from the Lannisters in order to pay for his drinking habits. He was sent to the wall for that. Lately, a disease has been running trough the family killing several members (including Faramir's mother), and infecting Alistair's father. Now, with the outbreak of the war of the five kings, the house is once again looking to increase it's influence and stature. With lord Creyon dying soon, it will be up to his heir Alistair and his family to do this. Currently, they make their money by collecting taxes from the people livibg on their lands, and by selling the silver they mine in their silver mines. Alistair, and his father before him have been squires for a Lannister, and are desperately trying to get on better terms with them.
