Personality:
obedient;; She’s the quintessence of what a daughter of nobility should be. She is compliant to her father’s every wish as a daughter should be. Shekinah would never even think of doing anything that would dishonor her family. Quite on the contrary, she would be more than happy to help her family rise even higher—even moving to a different country.

persuasive;; Being a descendent of Volantene aristocracy, the art of politics and oration are in her blood. She’s rather skilled at selling an idea with her pretty words and winsome charms. ruthless;; Shekinah does not like it when anyone gets in the way of her ambitions. Although she always has a plan b, she ensures that such plan entail a bit of vengeance. Also Shekinah is not one to go easy on people. By the end of the day, she wants her enemies in utter ruin or six feet under.
Likes:
Dislikes:
Weapons: Shekinah possesses a hollow ring that she hides poisons in. Its hinges and clasp are cleverly crafted and practically invisible to the naked eye. One would have to get very close to see them, and Shekinah makes sure that no one gets that close.
Skills:
herblore;; Shekinah has been studying the nature and properties of herbs and other vegetation since she was a young girl, and she has quite a knack for it. She can make anything from sleeping draughts to poultices that relieve pain. She even tried her hand at a love potion once—for a friend of course—but she has no idea if it worked.
intelligent;; Like most of the women belonging the aristocratic families of Volantis, Shekinah received a proficient education. She’s a literate woman with knowledge of poetry, writing, music, and how to run a household. She knows a little arithmetic but absolutely doesn’t care for it much.
exceedingly talented liar;; She can spin a web of deceit better than to most corrupt politician. Part of her success it attributed to the fact that she can keep her stories straight, remembering who she told what.
Weaknesses:
penchant for wine;; Shekinah absolutely loves wine. Reds… whites… You name it, she’ll drink it. She always has a least a cup at every meal, and there is always a decanter nearby incase she wants one or two cups during the day.
spoiled;; Shekinah has wanted for nothing since birth. She is use to being fed from a gold spoon and having things handed to her on a silver platter. With that said, she is very amiable to gifts such as wine, jewelry, and pretty dresses.
History:
Shekinah Vhassar hails from the noble and extremely wealthy Vhassar family of Volantis. From day one, she wanted for nothing and was showered in luxuries daily. The young Shekinah was instructed in academic subjects by the finest tutors, and her clever mother taught her more elegant pursuits and mannered social graces.
While training with her mother, Shekinah also picked up her pastime of herblore. Then when she was twelve, her uncle, Nyessos Vhassar, pressed upon her familial loyalty above all other duties and gave her a gold ring, telling her it held a secret.
As she grew into womanhood, Shekinah took up the mantle of aristocracy with grace and modesty, as she was instructed to do by her mother. As soon as her uncle and father discovered her silver tongue, she was ever present for political parties that were held in support of her uncle’s reelection. Many a vote was won off her words, charms, and smiles. Shekinah flourished in the minor role she played in Volantene politics, but it also darkened her heart.
With the idea of keeping and raising her family higher as her only ambition, Shekinah quickly learned how to navigate in the shadows of Volantene politics. She discovered how to uncover her opponents’ secrets and weaknesses and how best to use it against them. Then when that was not enough, Shekinah would resort to more permanent means of removing her obstacles. Using the ring her uncle gave her and her knowledge of herbs and plants, Shekinah ensured that her uncle’s more influential politics opponents never made it to office.
In her teenage years, Shekinah’s father struck a deal with Lord Arryn of Gulltown. In exchanged for Vhassar’s exclusive wares and trade, Lord Arryn had to wed Shekinah and make her a proper Westerosi lady. Why being a Volantene lady was not good enough was beyond her. Yet, Shekinah, being an obedient daughter, agreed to the match, knowing it would please her father and advance her family. After that, Shekinah was soon on her way to Westeros and to her wedding day.
RP Sample:
‘Why does traveling by sea have to be so uncomfortable!’ thought Shekinah frustrated as she tossed and turned in her cabin bed. She was on the finest ship her in her father’s fleet, so shouldn’t she be able to get one decent night sleep before she arrived in Westeros? It would not do her any good to look tired and ragged when she first met her husband-to-be.
With an exaggerated groan, Shekinah rose from her bed, exited her cabin in nothing but her nightgown, and went up to the deck. If she could not get any sleep, then at least she would get some fresh air. Strolling out on the top deck, the Volantene lady lean over the side of the ship and looked out on the dark horizon. She savored as the wind blew through her chestnut lock, sweeping away from her face. Then she noticed a few crewmen gambling and drinking near the wheel.
Curious as to what they were drinking, Shekinah inquired, with a raised voice, “Is that wine?”
“From the Arbor, my lady. The finest wine in all of Westeros,” replied one of the seamen.
Intrigued and a bit parched, she asked, “Got a spare cup?”
