Height: 5’11
Weight: 178
Personality: Edmure has been described by many a person that knows him well as being good hearted, in his youth he was also called hot headed but now as the Lord of Riverrun (a position he has been performing for some time as his father was unwell) it is clear to most he has cooled that heated yet so caution may play a part in his wisdom.
His amicable personality often allowed him to make many friends and it is not hard to find a friend of Edmure Tully when in distance of Riverrun. He is also known to be a man of honor and duty, and appreciates a good turn. Unlike many other Lords, he has a surprising capability to acknowledge the greater good over his personal pride.
Likes:
Dislikes:
Weapons: Edmure's chief weapon is a long sword, relatively simple in design but of masterful craft. It holds a large ruby at its bottom in a circle of steel. In his offhand he will usually carry a broad shield bearing the sigil of House Tully, the fish. He is also known to make use of a crossbow.
Armour: Edmure Tully wears a suit of half-plate, composed of a chest plate, gauntlets, waist guard and plate boots. This is worn over a suit of chain and worn under a tabard with the House Tully sigil.
Skills:
Warrior: Although not an anointed Knight, Edmure Tully was trained by the House Tully Master-At-Arms and is a very capable opponent, an expert with sword and shield he has technical knowledge and trained which has been honed by battle. He is very capable with most other melee weapons, such as axes, spears & maces but it is the sword & shield combination that he is most experienced. He is also quite capable with a crossbow.
Leader: Both of his House in general and as a military Commander, Edmure learned from his Lord father and while not noted as one of Westeros's finest leaders or commanders he is of a proficiency and wisdom that when he speaks he words are usually taken with a genuine weight.
Weaknesses:
Dangerous, but not that dangerous: Lord Edmure Tully is an expert of many things but a master of very few, with any skill or trait he can bring to the front there is a bigger fish in Westeros.
Hot headed: It is said of Edmure Tully that in his youth he was hot-headed, although age has cooled this off to say it is a thing of the past entirely would be mistaken. When the honour, safety or pride of the Riverlands, its people and his House is threatened or insulted Edmure can act with less caution then would be advisable.
History: Edmure Tully was born as the third child and only living son of Hoster Tully and Minisa Whent, he lost his mother when he was very young and was left to his father and the Septon & Maester of Riverrun to tend to his nurturing as a boy. Noted to be hot-headed but good hearted Edmure made friendly with group of young lads that were of a similar nature. As a young man they achieved quite the reputation for wenching and merry making. On occasion however Edmure's next supposed conquest favored the attentions of a singer, Tom of Sevens whom later wrote a song insulted Edmure. Edmure has had a dislike of singers ever since.
In more recent times Edmure has taken the responsibility of running his House and the Riverlands in general as his Lord Father Hoster has been most unwell, confined to his bed and noted to no longer recognize people but only mumble to people he thinks are present. Very recently Edmure Tully’s mind has been troubled with the defending against the raiders in his lands. His sister brash actions had brought down considerable misfortune to his people. His banners called he sought war with those that would transgress against his lands. Unfortunately he was not quite as adept at making war as he had hoped when he was defeated by Jaime Lannister. Luckily family still meant something to his nephew and he was saved and his captures defeated swiftly.
Edmure taking reins of the Riverland armies once again, would learn that his father had met his end during his brief absence. Enraged further by this he would meet Lannister armies once against on the field. While he suffered losses he was able to draw victory much to the chagrin of his nephew and King. Having disobeyed for direct order to attain victory, he’d caused quite an issue with King Robb’s plans. Yet with his early defeat, the death of his father and brother in-law, as well as his sister being deposed of her rule in the Vale his emotions were compromised.
The Lord of Riverrun must now take back his honor in eyes of his King.
