Before arriving at Pyke
Euron was known as a formidable and most skilled warrior. In the Greyjoy Rebellion led by his brother, it was due to Euron's work that had led them to victory in taking Lannisport, but what brought about an end to the rebellion was the fleet from the south. The Ironmen fought well, with his brother finally surrendering following the death of his two eldest sons with only the young Theon left who was sent away to be with the honorable and detestable Eddard Stark who the King was fond of.
Ironmen took what belonged to them. As the words of House Greyjoy go, the words that have been engraved in their minds, was that they "do not sow", meaning they do not work to get what they want, they take. Was it so hard? If it wasn't for Euron, then the Iron Fleet, as grand as it was, led by Victarion, his brother, would not of taken Lannisport. Euron was a mighty warrior, but he knew that it wasn't just the skill with the sword that would lead him to victory, but also his mind, knowing how to use his sword, and where to stick its pointy and most devastating end.
He was banished, ironically, for doing what he was taught, to take what he wished. So Balon took in his brothers' saltwife....what was wrong with that? Afterall, Victarion wouldn't have such a woman to sleep with if his fleet had perished without his strategy. Euron made sure that his efforts were remembered, his bravery and strength known for generations and generations, so on his trip around the world, he certainly made sure he was remembered. What better way than living part of him in each place he went to.
There were those who detested his actions, but of course, who could argue with him, as Euron footsteps trod and echoed throughout the ship, as Pyke came into view. "Welcome home lads!", with him at the front of the ship infront of the wheel, "Smell that air! Can't get any finer than that! Not to mention the women.....Don't you just love a woman that plays hard to get", his teeth clenched. "Any objections?", lifting his hand to his ear.
Euron sure was a tease, especially since his crew couldn't respond since they basically couldn't. "Great! Now, let's park ourselves infront of the Gret Kraken. It's time for us to be in the limelight!". His brother Balon was died and now Euron would among the islands he defended 8 years ago. If anyone tried to send him away again, then they'd have nothing coming except a sharp blade to their throat. He was not going to leave this time.....
