King Joffrey had sent out thousands of ravens to houses old and new, big and small to see truly whether he had the support of the strong or the weak. The Lannisters were a certainty but yet his own house wasn't, was he really a Baratheon? Could he be a Baratheon and not have the support of his own family? Enough. Joffrey was King and only his death could change that. Men were loyal to him and supported him, thats all he needed. He may be a boy but he had the strength of a man. No one would walk over him, not Robb Stark and not his uncle Stannis.
He sat in his velvet double, it was black with golden patterns on it. Draped over his left shoulder was a red and black velvet cloth, atop of his head ofcourse was the crown. He slouched on the Iron throne and had his right leg crossed onto his left, with his head being held up by his right hand. He was waiting for the other powerful men in the realm to come and swear allegiance to him, for that they shall be rewarded. However, this period of waiting had caused him to start thinking... Maybe he shouldn't have killed Ned Stark. If he had just let him join the night's watch he would only have one rebellion to contend with not two. Attacks on kings landing were imminent and Joffrey needed all the strength he could muster. Would it be better to allow Kings Landing to be sieged? Or fight out in the open? This is where he needed experienced men to help him decided.. His kings council was thin and advisor's few and far between. The King needed help, help of great men.
