OOC
This thread will be moderated by admins Torin (Duncan) & Jaime (Stannis). I'll post after each IC participant has posted or at some point after 5 days since my latest OOC post, to keep things moving. In the event you have not posted, it will be assumed your last remaining orders stand and your forces shall continue.
Please make instructions to units or their actions clear, in the event sufficient detail has not been provided I shall make a reasonable assumption based on provided information, edits shall not be made after a round has resolved bar numerical mistakes. We shall be using this map (click) as a reference guide.
From this point characters involved may not send Ravens nor order troops to be moved from locations without first leaving the battlefield and retreating to a safe location, characters may not make use of the shop until the event is resolved or their characters retreat to a friendly area (Stronghold, Port or Castle), the King's Landing defenders may not make a shop purchase until King's Landing is no longer under attack/siege.
In relation to catapults, after research into the operation of catapults by Jaime it has been decided that, due to their very slow rate of operation, catapults may move, fire or re-load in a single post. To be clear, that's one of the three actions.
We would also like people to take into consideration the time it takes for actions to be performed (for the most part, moving large numbers of units from one place to another). If you are unsure if an action or movement will take to long to pass by in a single post (noting the fast paced nature of combat) we encourage players to write their post and make clear the intentions of their action (eg: they charged towards the gate, hoping to get through to engage the swordsmen beyond). Staff will make it clear how far they got in the moderation post.
No troops are in range of combat at the beginning, attackers have prerogative of when to close in and at what pace.
If you have any questions, please PM me. Now then, to the fun part! The actual set up:
