Name: Tyene Alyria Sand
Age: 21
Place of Birth: Dorne
Current Place of Residence: Currently in the Crownlands
House: Martell
Family: Oberyn Nymeros Martell || father
A Septa/unknown || mother
Obara Sand || elder sister
Nymeria Sand || elder sister
Sarella Sand || younger sister
Loreza Sand || younger sister [father's side]
Obella Sand || younger sister [father's side]
Dorea Sand || younger sister [father's side]
Elia Sand || younger sister [father's side]
Appearance:
Garb: Tyene wears mostly finely tailored white or creme color gowns or flowing skirts. She has always taken pride in her appearance and dressed herself accordingly. Her fashion sense is impeccable and tasteful. Robes, tunics, and even strange foreign silks can be found in her extensive closet.
Height: 5'5
Weight: 130 pounds
Personality: Because of her upbringing from her fierce father, Tyene has always been taught to strive for excellence and victory, and it shows in her various talents. She is sharp minded, a quick learner, and a very resourceful young woman. Tyene is a bright and talented young woman, but she applies her intelligence in a more cunning manner, through her social maneuverings and charm in conversation.
Tyene can leave men speechless, and women awed. She has a way with words, and with her wit, she can make just about anyone smile. while most people deny that flattery is the best first impression, Tyene knows otherwise. Everyone, in her mind, can be manipulated with sweet words, or the subtlest of glances. It's all a game, and Tyene plays it well.
Those who are close to her (her sisters and cousin) will learn that Tyene, whilst deadly as a snake, can still be trusted in certain instances. Family and loyalty to such is her life, and her family, and their allies know they can rely on her for support.
Tyene was never the child allowed to run around rampant, and she rarely cried. She was brought up to be a strong young woman, giving her strength for perseverance through any challenge, and giving her a humble and deep satisfaction for accomplishments and victory she doesn't take for granted, from her advanced knowledge of herbcraft to her relationships. She is not easily upset, and is a master at disguising her emotions.
Tyene is a very deceiving person to those she does not know or those she doesn't trust. Her biggest advantage is the fact that she is highly underestimated (as a woman) by most, so she is able to come in to a confrontation with the element of surprise on her side. Be it in a conversation, or in a competition, it will be quickly realized that Tyene is a force to be reckoned with in her own right, but don't assume if you get the upper hand on her she'll let it go. Hell hath no fury like Tyene Sand if she isn't the victor... Tyene has as great of a capacity for a grudge as she does to love, and vengence is a dish best served blonde.
Tyene is a very cunning and resourceful young woman. She has the capacity to have a surprising about of influence with people, a few choice words and a sweet smile winning over almost anyone, and with her plethora of resources at her disposal, she doesn't hesitate to use them. From her own analytical intellect, to various connections with different families, or different lovers, Tyene is a woman who knows how to get things done. If she wants something done, or wants to know something, she knows exactly how to go about getting it, regardless of who she may have to step over. Sadly, she's more or less the girl who would prefer to remain behind the scenes, not liking the concept of taking on responsibility for herself, but don't misinterpret this as Tyene being another blind follower. Tyene doesn't like to be in the spot light, and feels that pulling strings from the shadows proves to be more effective and suits her style, making her extremely manipulative.

Weapons: Poison.
Armour: N/A
Skills: While she can wield a dagger decently, Tyene shares her father's knowledge and love of poisons first and foremost. She is able to make a person die "naturally" and quickly, or she can make death an excruciating agony that lasts for weeks.
Tyene is also very good at pitting people against one another. Instilling that sliver of doubt that inevitably turns brother against brother, father against son, employer against employee is one of the most entertaining things she can do, and she does it expertly.
Weaknesses:
† Pride – she cannot handle any shots to her pride. It triggers a silent rage inside her, and everyone knows that snakes are not an animal to be provoked.
† Unpredictable – even among her own, her temper risks making her a liability at any given moment.
† Obsessive – one little thing is all it takes to cause a life-long obsession.
History: They say that bastards are born from lust and lies, grow up more swiftly than other children, and their nature is wanton and treacherous. The bastard daughter of Oberyn Martell and a Septa visiting Dorne, Tyene was certainly an unexpected and more than unwelcome child when she came into the world. However, Oberyn decided to keep and raise his 'natural' daughter rather than expose her to the elements, for which Tyene is especially grateful. Oberyn never kept the circumstances of her birth from her; as soon as she was old enough to understand, she was told why they called her 'Sand' rather than 'Martell'.
Tyene grew up with two other half-sisters, Obara and Nymeria. The more they grew, the closer the three became. It has been said that they are more like three different facets of each other, rather than three separate beings. Nym was a bit softer than Obara, so Tyene complimented her elder sister perfectly. Nymeria, and later on Arianne, became Tyene's voices of reason, the one two who could talk her down from all sorts of insane and potentially hazardous stunts. Nym was the buffer between the oldest and youngest girls – Tyene never did understand Obara and her ways.
When she was nine, Tyene began feeling strange desires that she could not explain. She wanted to hurt things, to see what life was and to hold it in her hand. Her sisters and her cousin Arianne were the sole exception to her sociopathic desires. Everything else was fair game. She killed a rabbit that year by bashing its head in by the pond on the grounds. The way the blood splattered was art, and the way it pooled on the paving stones was another masterpiece entirely. She went on to kill other animals that she could get her hands on, always taking a different route to end its life in order to inspect the different aspects of a living thing. Some were beheaded, some cut open, some smothered, and others simply starved to death because she forgot all about them. Their corpses were left strewn around the edge of the grounds, and conveniently spaced out so that it seemed like a fox had been at them. Even when neighboring children began complaining of missing cats and lap dogs – they never suspected little pale, innocent Tyene.
Oberyn Martell took care to train his bastard daughters, in whichever way they showed the most promise. Oberyn must have known more than he let on, or perhaps he saw her for what she was. Whatever his motivation, one day Prince Oberyn sent for Tyene to come into his solar. When Tyene arrived, he sat her down in front of a large, dusty old book. "You will read this, and you will learn." Prince Oberyn told her bluntly.
The tome was heavy, and nearly knocked Tyene off her tiny feet when she carried it back to her chamber. Tyene opened the book and frowned, puzzled as to why her father had given her a stupid book about healing remedies and potions. Oberyn's orders were always followed, though, and so she continued to read. Tyene finished the book a week later and returned it to her father, still a little confused as to why he had given her the book in the first place. She had been indoors all week while her sisters had been in the yards, practicing swordplay without her most likely.
When she had communicated as much to her father he frowned. "You are almost a woman grown. You do not have the physical skills that the Gods have given your sisters, and yet you wish to bloody yourself-- do not think I cannot see it. So tell me child, how can you begin to understand death when you know nothing of life? Read the tome again."
And so she did. Tyene read about all herbs you can use to save a mans life, and when she had memorized the functions of each plant and bush and tree, her father gave her a new tome. This one was about negative reactions to different natural substances and suddenly, with a smile toying at the edge of her lips, Tyene understood.
Tyene currently resides in King’s Landing with her sister and cousin, where she captures the hearts of many men at court. She hates the Lannisters, but instead of using her skills with poison to kill them all; she bides her time and waits for the right moment. The Lannister gold could be useful in capturing the Iron Throne for the Martells. The question is, will these great Houses form an alliance, or destroy one another?
RP Sample:Tyene had worn a rather ravishing blue gown that was rather tame compared to the ones that most Dornish noblewomen wore, freshwater pearls decorated the bodice along with silver Myrish lace icing the sleeves. Her blond hair brushed long and hung down her back, with the top portion sectioned into an elaborate hair-do that the women of King's Landing have adopted. While in the capital, it did not mean she could not adapt, it was a matter of should she. Their manner of dress did cause quite a stir and she left it up to Arianne to proceed with that.
She had decided to bathe in rose water and had not applied any other scents. There were other scents of sandalwood and a few oils that could be distinguished with a sharp nose from her clothes, hair and subtly perfumed body. It was from the disgusting smells of an overcrowded city that she liked to keep fresh and clean scents to fool her own nose.
Introductions were made, and she was the perfect hostess beside her own people and friends. It was when the name of the particular septon having arrived that had her tense to look towards the one that was announcing the guests in to see the man entering. The muscles worked in her jaw as her lips pressed together in anger but just as quickly a smile of the warmest had replaced it as she continued to make introductions.
The man should be dying on the floor of his room why was he here? She thought to herself as she again subtly glanced at him, but her gaze never stayed on him long enough to cause any suspicion as if she was trying to locate another. Outwardly she was calm and sweet, inwardly she wanted to eviserate the man or castrate him while bathing in his blood. Perhaps he did not receive her package in time, if anything it was necessary to find out a bit more of what was going on.
A few more people were greeted before the man that had managed to live through her gift had arrived directly in front of him. Her hand was not offered in greeting, but she curtsied politely as introductions were made. Thankfully the receiving line still had quite a few people that made it impossible to linger long for a chat. It might be necessary to excuse oneself for a moment to compose herself knowing that she just have looked rather tense or wooden.
It infuriated her to the point where she was tempted to greet him with her hand to leave a red welt with a slight cut into his soft pudgy skin allowing a poison to be introduced into his blood. Of course, it would cause great concern to have the man drop dead at one of their functions. At the first opportunity, Tyene had excused herself politely from the party and headed towards her quarters. Before she got there, she decided to head towards the solarium instead feeling a bit more at home there.
Her hands were balled into fists as she looked out into the darkness amongst the plants in the garden dealing with her inner turmoil. She disliked failure especially within herself and her mind re-worked out a new plan to rid herself of the festering turd of a septon once and for all but for right now she needed to calm herself down.
