Name: Tywin Lannister (Lord of Casterly Rock, Warden of the West)
Age: 58
Place of Birth: Casterly Rock
Current Place of Residence: Casterly Rock
House: House Lannister
Family: Tytos Lannister (Father, deceased), Kevan Lannister (Brother), Joanna Lannister (Wife, deceased), Cersei Lannister (Daughter), Torin Lannister (Son) Jaime Lannister (Son), Tyrion Lannister (Son), Joffrey Baratheon (Grandchild), Tommen Baratheon (Grandchild), Myrcella Baratheon (Grandchild), Lena Arryn (Daughter In Law)
Appearance:
Garb: Tywin is the proudest of the Lannisters, and he dresses to remind others of the power and prominence of his House. He wears the finest silks and softest leather - crimsons, golds and blacks of various shades make up the full spectrum of colours in his wardrobe. Whether in Casterly Rock or King's Landing Tywin will always look his best, and he will decorate his person with something forged from gold sources in the Lannister mines - be it a broach, a chain, or the clasps that fasten his cloak to his shoulders.
Height: 6ft
Weight: 180lbs
Personality: Tywin is an extremely demanding father, brother and liege-lord; he is seldom satisfied, and never pleased. He is respected, feared and admired, so his demanding nature often brings out the best in the people around him. His wisdom and cunning are known across the realm, and his ruthlessness is the subject of songs. As Hand of the King to Aerys Targaryen, the Mad King, he brought peace and plenty to the seven kingdoms. But what Tywin gives graciously with his left hand he can take mercilessly with his right hand - House Tarbeck and House Castamere having suffered his wrath when he was just a young lion. His relentless pursuit of Lannister ends is the reason why his House has reclaimed glory since he became Lord of Casterly Rock. Tywin is proud to the point of hubris, but this has yet to see him suffer any major losses.

Weapons:Tywin has long sought to acquire a valyrian steel blade for his family - House Lannister lost their valyrian blade, 'Brightroar', when King Tommen II Lannister sailed to Valyria with it and never returned. Tywin has had a heavily jewelled longsword made for himself, though it is mainly ceremonial, and he has not swung a blade in anger since his son Torin came of sword wielding age.
Armour: In battle he dons dull plate of black and crimson, ornamented with golden lion faces. He wears a red leather and fur doublet under his armour. His helm shows a golden lion roaring atop it. His cloak is a deep red colour, and when leading his forces into battle, he twists a red sash silken around his torso as he rides.
Skills: Inspiring Leader: Tywin is feared and respected by friends and enemies alike; Tywin often treats them the same. His iron will and ruthlessness are infectious on the battlefield, while his wisdom and sense of justice make him an inspiring lord and leader for his smallfolk. Tywin is quite unique amongst Westeros lords for the way he seamlessly moves from leading in battle to leading in court - no living lord is as skilled in both fields as Tywin.
Cunning: Tywin has overseen the rise of Casterly Rock in military, economic and political terms, with his cunning permeating each of these spheres. In preparing for war, Tywin marries experience and cunning to devastating effect, and is one of the finest tacticians in the realm. In economics, Casterly Rock has lent heavily to the realm, facilitating it's plunge into debt. Tywin now has a firm hand on the throat of the Kingdom through the mechanism of debt. Politically, Tywin has served as Hand to two Kings, and is known for his savvy operating style. His cunning is invaluable on the Small Council, and is more than a match for any lord when ravens are being exchanged.
Weakness: Combat: Tywin has not engaged in armed combat against a foe in some time, and while he was once a skilled swordsman he has lost his sharpness. He still carries a blade on his person, and if needed he would draw it on a foe, but he has raised Torin and Jaime to be the blades of House Lannister in his stead.
History: As a boy, Tywin watched his father Tytos mishandle the Lannister fortune and nearly ruin the family. After becoming Lord of the house, Tywin set about restoring the Lannisters to glory and prominence in a relentless fashion. Tywin immediately set about bringing the Lannister bannermen into line, and wiped out House Tarbeck of Tarbeck Hall and House Reyne of Castamere for their defiance, leaving their ruined and shattered castles as a mute testimony to the fate that awaits those who scorn the power of Casterly Rock. Lannister wealth increased under Tywin's stewardship, and the Lannisters were the chief source of finance for King Robert during his reign. Tywin's marriage was a solid one, and his love for the late Joanna Lannister is the subject of much hushed discussion years later. She gave him several children before she died, and he raised them with cool detachment and and harsh words.
He served the Mad King Aerys Targaryen as Hand of the King, but left his service when Aerys saw fit to take Tywin's son into the King's Guard against his father's wishes. The Lannisters would later sack of King's Landing during the Baratheon rebellion, and when Robert took the throne Tywin married his daughter, Cersei, off to the new King. He held the title of Warden of the West under King Robert, but when Joffrey Baratheon took the throne Lord Tywin became King's Hand again.
RP Sample:
He'd worked too hard to see his children mess this all up now. Since the head of the dire wolf, Eddard Stark's head was taken, things had spiraled into disarray. His children never seemed to be able to handle things properly and now it seemed as though he would need to step in all over again. He cursed to himself as the castle walls opened to let him in.
He looked surly as ever as he stepped down from his horse and removed the gloves from his hands. The gold in his crimson armor shined brightly as ever as did his cape as he made his way through the streets. He was accompanied by a rather small force of men. All of them looked nearly as elite as he did. There was no way he or anyone else associated with House Lannister could look like the common rabble. Even the lowiest Lannister should be considered greater than the common man.
"Lord Tywin! We have been awaiting you for-"
"Do spare me the pleasantries. My ride from Casterly Rock has been to long for such things.", Tywin spoke to the servant girl rather sharply. His eyes pierced through her being before he looked away.
"Inform my children that they are to receive me when I reach the castle. Off with you."
