Dislikes:
Weapons: Ser Duncan fights with a shield and mace most generally but will also use a longsword on occasion. They are of Castleforge steel quality but otherwise rather unassuming.

Skills:
Talented Knight: Ser Duncan Talvace is a talented Knight, very capable with a sword or mace and a shield. He also has shown considerable proficiency with a lance, such as his victory as the Tourney where he named his future wife Queen of Love and Beauty at only 17. He is also very capable at Horse riding, both for regular movement forms and as a battlefield aid. He has some capability for command and is knowledge in the practical area of tactics with moderate experience in its application.
Carpenty: If Duncan wasn't a Knight he'd make his trade as a carpenter, no question about it. Starting as a manner to pass time and relax his mind this became a passion. Duncan is well known as a talented crafter and has made a number of chairs and dressers found about Storm's End, they also serve as gifts occasionally.
Weaknesses:
Not the finest: Ser Duncan is a fine Knight, one of the better in the land, he could hold his own against the likes of Meryn Trant or Arys Oakheart of the Kingsguard. Against the likes of Jaime or Torin Lannister, Ser Barristan Selmy, Loras Tyrell or any of their type he would find himself at a loss in single combat. He is also just one man and subject to being overwhelmed by superior numbers. He will usually ride into battle on a horse, in the event his horse is prevented from moving he would be at genuine of being swarmed and dragged from his horse.
History:
Ser Duncan Talvace was always a quiet man. Even as a young lad he appreciated simple things, he was satisfied to walk the fields during summer when others would rather ride down the slopes atop their steeds. There was of course time for play when it was suited and often he toyed with his youthful friends, chasing the farmers daughters to throw them into the lake or tip over cows. But there were times when he was simple more content to help his mother and his father.
Duncan squired in the Riverlands under a cousin in law and it was often written back home that as he was attentive and dedicated but thinking outside the box didn't come to him naturally. But by the time Duncan Talvace become Ser Duncan Talvace there were few who would question his skill at arms or merit of character.
It was a tourney that Duncan first saw Adelaide Baratheon. He was instantly smitten, but his family had little in the way of making himself known in any real capacity to someone of her standing. As it would happen however Duncan won the tourney, breaking eight lances before unhorsing his opponent. With his victory he named Adelaide Baratheon 'The Queen of Love and Beauty.' It would take two years but eventually Ser Duncan made Adelaide his wife and he joined her in Storm's End as her Lord Protector.
There marriage has been a happy one, but that the couple have had difficulty bearing a child and heir. There was a baby girl born to the pair but she didn't survive her first year and Adelaide was devastated. Duncan took on greater responsibility in running his wife's holdings. Since the passing of the last Hand of the King Adelaide has started to come back to her old self, and now supports her brother in his claim for the Iron Throne, albeit discreetly until the time comes for Storm's End to reveal its allegiance, a deception Duncan is not fond of but supports his wife and liege.
