Name: Cersei Lannister
Age: 33
Place of Birth: Casterly Rock
Current Place of Residence: King's Landing, Red Keep
House: Lannister
Family:
Father: Tywin Lannister
Brother(s):Jamie, Torin, Tyrion
Children: Joffrey, Myrcella, Tommen (all under Baratheon)
Cousin(s):Lancel, Matylis
Appearance:
Cersei is a woman of classic Lannister appearance. Her hair is long, curly and golden and she has bright green eyes. Her slender figure is often complemented by her clothing at the bodice area. In recent days, she has kept her hair down with only her bangs braided back. However, it is not uncommon for her to have expensive fabrics covering her body as a sign on wealth and power. Having grown up in an affluent noble house, she carries herself in poise and grace and speaks with proper tone and grammar.
Garb:
Because of Cersei's lineage in the head family of House Lannister and her marriage that led her to becoming Queen Regent, she wears clothing of the finest materials. A typical outfit consists of a floor length dress with a bodice and long sleeves. The color may vary, though she chooses to wear red and shades of pink over other colors. A gold trim will typically line the seams of the clothing. Her sleeves usually have a long drop the reaches the floor and often resemble a cloak in the way they lay over her arms and shoulders (usually cut up to her elbows allowing for more freedom of movement).
For accessories Cersei wears the finest gems and metals from all over Westeros and even from Essos. She particularly favors wearing some sort of medallion around her neck that rests on her chest and at least three rings on her hands. Her hair is usually kept down, but when styled up, a few gems or shiny stones may be placed in her hair, but rarely is there something very ornate that distracts from her face.
Height: 5'7"
Weight:121 lbs.
Personality:
Being a Lannister, there is a great deal of mystery in Cersei. Not to say that much isn't known about her, but she certainly knows how to conceal a secret, much less fins them, no matter what the cost. She lusts for power and often finds a way to get it. Following the death of her husband, the late King Robert Baratheon, Cersei immediately stepped in as Queen Regent of Kings' Landing. She considers herself to be skilled in "strategy" like her father, though she lacks the patience and more often than not, the knowledge, to successfully see things through.
When it comes to love, Cersei openly loves her three children. While she cares for her father and twin brother, Jaime, Cersei has come to believe that the more people one loves, the weaker they become. As a mother, there is nothing she wouldn't do to keep her children safe. Particularly Joffrey. Even with her son acting as a tyrant on the throne, Cersei does her best to see the best in him and refuses to admit that he isn't fit for the throne. With their safety first Cersei makes it a point to keep the rumors of the children being products of incest at bay. She has spent much of her life as a mother dreaming of Joffrey being king, so much so that she barely knows Myrcella and Tommen.
With the Queen being the daughter of Tywin Lannister, she often feels compelled to prove herself to be a formidable opponent. Generally, there isn't a person who has met Cersei who genuinely believes her kindness; it is wise as she is not a nice person and only has the interests herself, and at times, her children at heart. When compared to women like Catelyn Stark, Cersei is a horrible mother. She loves her children, but spends very little time with them; instead she feeds her ambitions for power while she plots and deceives those against her as well as around her. With her lack of patience, Cersei often has a bad temper and often pays those back who upset her three times over, which follows the saying of "A Lannister always repays his debts three times over." If defied publicly, more often than not Cersei will retaliate with outrage, despite her appearance. However if she is proven wrong publicly she has been known to storm away.
Likes:
Dislikes:
Weapons: Cersei typically has no need for a weapon as she has guards to protect her. However, her weapon of choice is a dagger which she keeps concealed under her clothing, but only when she knows she'll need it (such as when a plot may backfire or when she goes out into public). Poison is also something Cersei has become fond of using, but that is something she has someone else use.
Skills:
Eloquent- Being brought up in a noble home, Cersei has learned the way to speak circles around many. Seeing as she wasn/t given strategy training, due to her being a female, she has relied upon her tongue. While she may not be as smart as any man she is by far wittier.
Weaknesses:
Impatience- When Cersei wants something, she wants it then and now. If she gives an order and is defied she is more than likely to fly into a rage.
Anger-Cersei is very quick to anger. Nearly anything will set her off, if said right. This isn't to say everything will set her off, she is a noble after all.
History:
The eldest child of Twyin and Joanna Lannister, Cersei spent her early years in wealth and pleasure. When younger, she was given a prophecy by Maggy the Frog, a maegi, that haunted her for her entire life. The prophecy successful predicted the death of her friend, the unrequited love of Prince Rhaegar Targaryen, and her troubled marriage to a king. Perhaps the most troubling prediction was the one regarding her children dying before her.
Her first true plot involved her twin brother, with whom she'd been having an incestuous relationship. Her father was the Hand of the King and had arranged for Cersei to marry Prince Rhaegar Targaryen. This led to Jaime being paired with Lysa Tully of Riverrun. Furious over the pairing, Cersei devised a plot which led to Jaime joining the Kingsguard which prevented him from ever marrying. When Lord Tywin learned of the situation, he resigned as Hand of the King and returned home to Casterly Rock, taking Cersei with him and separating the lovers. Cersei found joy in the event due to keeping her brother from ever getting to marry.
Following the deaths of the Targaryens, Robert Baratheon stepped up to the Iron Throne and took Cersei as his wife. However, during their first night together, he called her Lyanna, the name of Eddard Stark's sister, and Robert's true love. From this event, Cersei began to resent her husband. This also led Cersei to being reunited with her brother and their affair started once again. From this affair, the two produced three children, Joffrey, Myrcella, and Tommen, who were all masked as children of the King and even took his last name; Robert knew no better.
The affair was uncovered by Robert's Hand, Jon Arryn with the assistance of Robert's younger brother Stannis. Once Stannis fled King's Landing, Jon Arryn succumbed to poison -- someone had beaten Cersei and Jaime to it. This death led to Robert traveling to the North to Winterfell to recruit Eddard Stark as Hand of the King. Cersei accompanied her husband up north along with her brother as part of the Kingsguard. The two have a moment together in one of the towers of Winterfell, only to be discovered by the Stark boy Bran. Jaime pushed him from the tower window, leaving him in a coma and crippling the boy from ever being able to walk again. Concerned of Bran remembering, the two hire an assassin to kill the child and keep the affair a secret once more.
While back at King's Landing, Eddard Stark uncovers the truth of her children's parentage (Robert's bastard children all have jet black hair while Cersei's are all born with Lannister features). Ned gives her a warning to get out while she can, but Cersei instead bites back with some words of wisdom to Ned. Soon after, she plots the death of her husband by getting him drunk on a strong wine and then having him attacked by a wild boar. Just as Robert died, Cersei ceased the throne for her son Joffrey and became Queen Regent and took a seat on Joffrey's council. Joffrey didn't listen to her advice and rulings and had Ned Stark beheaded at the sept, severing ties between the Lannisters and Starks.
Now that Joffrey is sitting on the Iron Throne, Cersei does all that she can to strategize the Lannister's success in the clash of kings. With the Stark's daughter Sansa in King's Landing as Joffrey's wife-to-be, Cersei is beginning to feel more and more empowered, but the trick is getting a grasp on her son's rash and sadistic decisions.
